In all respects, the Solar Eclipse returns a surge of mental energy into the collective after the May 26 Blood Moon's Energetic Shutdown. We can expect enormous amounts of old news to come to the surface, disrupting our way of thinking and raising a plethora of new questions about what indeed constitutes our truth.

This lunation produces a powerful energetic shutdown. Our preoccupation with trivia, our tendency to become lost in arguments over assumptions, conjecture and quasi-conceptual realms that have little or no relevance to our daily circumstances needs to end, and we are called to focus on rebuilding the pathways to a better society.

At the culminating phase of the moon's synodic cycle, we are provided with a unique opportunity to observe our most deeply troubling personal matters, approach them with some degree of maturity and wisdom and consider how we might proceed in order to get the best out of our experience.

We are in for a dynamic, disruptive week ahead, since much of the inner (personal) planetary energy is shifting into feminine (receptive) signs, Pluto stationing and the Moon progressively heading towards her synodic culmination in a Hadean-style Scorpio Supermoon.

As we start to see the cracks forming in the matrix of the old patriarchy, the transiting Aries Sun, recently conjunct Chiron and flanked by a soon-Hesperus (evening star) Venus, challenges us to find and speak our true intrinsic voice.

If ever there was a time when the world needed a new hope, some glimmer of positive inspiration that things might start to take a turn for the better, that there is light despite all of the darkness and confusion that currently enshrouds this earth, it would be now.

True, spiritual love has no bounds. It must be allowed to dance freely both within us and in all that is around us. Constrained love is not true. To become true it must be allowed to flower to its maturity....

So, our Sun continues his epic hero's journey through Aquarius. There will be many twists and turns along his luminous path through February, one which will see many revolutionary changes and reforms take place, both within and all around.

After a two-month period of being routed back to the mid-degrees of Aries, Mars is now finally direct again, hedging his efforts into staging a 'come-back'. That's right, the impish god of action and punch-ons is picking up some pace again, but it won't be until the end of this year (22-23 Dec) that he finally takes charge, urging us to do the things we probably should have done a while ago. Will it be too late? With Neptune squaring the Nodes, we cannot turn back the tides of change.

Well, the US election came but, as it appears, is not exactly gone. As the harshly critical Saturn/Pluto conjunction now prepares to be joined by the judicious Jupiter, the level of fanaticism around the deconstruction of our systems of governance, law, religiosity and moral certitude is only increasing.

The closest Supermoon of 2020 also sees Planet Earth and all of its inhabitants experiencing the most intense time. In the late degrees of Libra, this New Moon intention is to restore (or create) harmony and balance into our highlighted affairs. However, it appears that there are distant, overwhelming forces weighing heavily against our efforts to make peace.

No Full Moon speaks loudest to our indecisiveness, lack of focus and desperate urge to look outside ourselves for someone or something to prop us up; to blame or help solve our inner problems and inadequacies like the Aries Full Moon.

As the month of September draws to a close, we are somehow better-equipped with the necessary discretionary skills and acumen to make fairer judgements in the weeks ahead. This October will be a critical month.

In the final days of September 2020, the Virgo Sun will reach the Equinox, inaugurating into Libra (Tuesday). This crossing marks a highly significant shift in the Solar cycle, heralding a change in the direction of the Sun's rays falling on Earth. Here, at the sacred turning point, we are called to open our eyes and ears to others as they all become equally significant.

This has been an extremely potent week, and thanks mostly to an intensely close encounter with our Moon. Thursday's Lunation is the first of three consecutive New Moons in perigee (Supermoon) that will see the Moon pass before the Sun at her closest proximity to earth - a phenomenon not only swelling the ocean tides but nudging us too, in no uncertain terms, to "bring our big emotions into line".

Thursday's Virgo New Moon marks the synodic lunar cycle's reset point. It is the time of the month when affairs most important (Sun) and most personal (Moon) in our lives come together and we are called, both instinctively and through our experiences, to make an intention with how to deal with pertinent matters...

Nobody can deny that our world is going a little 'nuts' these days. Our 'informed' societies have slowly descended into such a state of absurdity and cognitive disorder that it now seems an impossible task to both ignore or bring things back into some semblance of the cohesive sensibility we used to know and love. Who can predict which way things will turn out when so much of what we hear seems distorted by our own inability to see things clearly?

Like any Full Moon, this glorious lunation shines the Sun's conscious awareness upon the Moon's often hidden or more unconscious nature. As the luminaries stand at the height of opposition in the heavens, we are asked to reconcile two very different sides of ourselves. We may notice some matters in utter discordance, feel strongly averse to those around us, creating both confrontation and opportunities to make amends.

What kind of a world are we building? Or is it up to us to destroy everything for the sake of a few? Do we want to leave our children a planet that runs on empathy and kindness or one possessed by bullying demagoguery? Do we even care what happens, so long as we don't die?

Virgo acts as the perfect filter through which humanity can examine its deeds, provides the Sun with a keen lens by which to scrutinise errors that need to be addressed and rectified. The mutable waveforms produced through this earthy perspex of the pure sunlight allows us to discern what's beneficial and to neatly organise and purify it so it serves its rightful purpose, as needed.

Every day becomes a struggle to adapt now, especially psychologically. For some, it's sad to come to grips with the crushing reality that dawns each day. Many are still in denial, or oblivious to what is happening, or are living in hope that in a few weeks all this will pass and we can return back to how things were.

And what did we learn? Was it that nobody is as special as you and that (after all) you're no more special than the next person?

The degree of projection going on right now is at insane levels. In amidst the darkest times, cemented by Saturn's presence, when the demons of our darkest dreams and our subconscious have been unleashed and allowed to run rife; where anger mixed with fear and envy and raging disdain for all the hurt of the ages start to swell, it's all quite easy to throw shade on others.

If nothing else, last week's Lunar Eclipse has distinguished just how trapped and dissonant our private, inner-child experiences have become from everything being drummed into us by the grown-up world of social, religious, academic and political influence and indoctrination.

This is shaping up to be quite a year. In the wake of the shadow cast on this earth by arguably the most potent North Node eclipse of our times, we are ready to emerge anew.

It is Solstice. The Sun is at 00° Cancer, what astrologers call "the World Axis" (0° Cardinal signs). In just a few hours, the Moon will pass before the Sun, obscuring his majestic glow, all but for a bright ring of fire (corona) around his edges.

It takes lifetimes, entire generations of shielded hand-me-down care for a fine vase to become a valued piece of cultural antiquity. It takes all but a second for it to be shatterred and worthless.

Don't be too surprised when sophisticated robots and computer algorithms soon start to drive humans entirely out of the job market.
