Well, the US election came but, as it appears, is not exactly gone. As the harshly critical Saturn/Pluto conjunction now prepares to be joined by the judicious Jupiter, the level of fanaticism around the deconstruction of our systems of governance, law, religiosity and moral certitude is only increasing.

The MOON's entry into our playfully indulgent Leo side has already received a shocking 'coming-down-to-earth' slap across the puss from URANUS in Taurus...

MARS is now stationing and after two months in retrograde will turn direct at 15°♈14' next Friday. His quincunx to the SUN today comes as the MOON forms a cardinal grand cross against JUPITER/SATURN/PLUTO, MERCURY (also SD) and ERIS.

In the final days of September 2020, the Virgo Sun will reach the Equinox, inaugurating into Libra (Tuesday). This crossing marks a highly significant shift in the Solar cycle, heralding a change in the direction of the Sun's rays falling on Earth. This has been an extremely potent week, and thanks mostly to an intensely close encounter with our Moon. Thursday's Lunation is the first of three consecutive New Moons in perigee (Supermoon) that will see the Moon pass before the Sun at her closest proximity to earth - a phenomenon not only swelling the ocean tides but nudging us too, in no uncertain terms, to "bring our big emotions into line".

This New Supermoon is highly potent, its trine to Saturn/Pluto is significant, as are tight aspects to Mars, Uranus, Neptune and most significantly an exact square to the true Lunar Nodes.

Thursday's Virgo New Moon marks the synodic lunar cycle's reset point. It is the time of the month when affairs most important (Sun) and most personal (Moon) in our lives come together and we are called, both instinctively and through our experiences, to make an intention with how to deal with pertinent matters...

Be mindful that the world is subtly shifting into turbocharged hypercriticism...

Those who regard themselves "self-made" or "self-sufficient". may exert the image of social success or attractiveness since, on the face of it, this appears empowering. It conjures a certain picture of freedom, but it’s fundamentally flawed...

Nobody can deny that our world is going a little 'nuts' these days. As the Moon moves into Aries, we feel the turgid pressure of the Capricorn stellium (Jupiter/Saturn/Pluto) as wholly uncomfortable, unwelcome, even intimidating.

Choked up, dismayed and horrified with it all... wondering if all this hate and cruelty you're seeing around you is not merely an illusion; a willful misunderstanding; a failure on your part of some kind.

Like any Full Moon, this glorious lunation shines the Sun's conscious awareness upon the Moon's often hidden or more unconscious nature. As the luminaries stand at the height of opposition in the heavens, we are asked to reconcile two very different sides of ourselves. We may notice some matters in utter discordance, feel strongly averse to those around us, creating both confrontation and opportunities to make amends.

After 57 days in lockdown, 43 of which I am forbidden to exit my front door between 8pm and 5am, and then allowed only to circulate for ONE hour a day and only within a 5km radius from home, and then only to replenish food supplies and 'exercise', only with face-covering AT ALL TIMES (regardless whether I am in a store or at the park or walking by the river), the number of CV19 cases per day in this state (~ 100) has hardly varied and our premier/governor seems to be showing no indication that he is going to ease restrictions for perfectly healthy citizens...

What kind of a world are we building? Or is it up to us to destroy everything for the sake of a few? Do we want to leave our children a planet that runs on empathy and kindness or one possessed by bullying demagoguery? Do we even care what happens, so long as we don't die?

Virgo acts as the perfect filter through which humanity can examine its deeds, provides the Sun with a keen lens by which to scrutinise errors that need to be addressed and rectified. The mutable waveforms produced through this earthy perspex of the pure sunlight allows us to discern what's beneficial and to neatly organise and purify it so it serves its rightful purpose, as needed.

Every day becomes a struggle to adapt now, especially psychologically. For some, it's sad to come to grips with the crushing reality that dawns each day. Many are still in denial, or oblivious to what is happening, or are living in hope that in a few weeks all this will pass and we can return back to how things were.

And what did we learn? Was it that nobody is as special as you and that (after all) you're no more special than the next person?

Mercury and Moon in Virgo, opposite Neptune in Pisces, we could be anywhere and nowhere, really. Relax... It's actually over...

Nothing sets a harsher, meaner tone upon the earth than the squaring of the two malefics in the skies...
