SOLAR STORM – THE PARTIAL SOLAR ECLIPSE at 09° Aries, Saturday, March 29, 2025, 10:58 UTC

Greetings again, Fellow Travellers,

Welcome to yet another life-altering cosmic sidewinder. Barely two weeks after that tumultuous Virgo Lunar Eclipse—an event that exposed how our neatly ordered lives were beginning to fray at the edges—we now come to terms with a Partial Solar Eclipse in Aries. Technically, it’s not the tightest of Nodal alignments, yet in effect, that matters little when it’s burning through cardinal fire.

This is not the first—it’s actually the third North Node Aries Solar Eclipse since April 2023. Unlike a regular New Moon, a Solar Eclipse aligns closely with the lunar nodes—cosmic gatekeepers connecting our most personal conscious intentions (Sun and Moon) to the soul’s greater evolutionary pathway. With the North Node in Aries from 17 July 2023 to 12 January 2025, each Aries Solar Eclipse becomes a supercharged catalyst for self-assertion and audacious reinvention—though the Hybrid Eclipse of 2023 and this upcoming Partial Eclipse (29 March 2025) are technically ‘dissociated’ from the full Aries-Node signature. The total eclipse of April 2024, when Node and sign align perfectly, was the apex—a pure Aries blast that forced us to claim our lives on our own terms. Still, any Solar Eclipse hitting cardinal fire—especially so soon after the Equinox—demands swift, uncompromising action, its psychoactive undercurrent spurring primal instincts into overdrive.

Collectively, these three consecutive Aries eclipses (2023, 2024, 2025) have spawned a relentless thrust towards raw individuality, each event challenging defunct patterns of complacency and codependency, exposing where we’ve been tiptoeing around others just to keep the peace. By pushing us to break free from any behaviour that isn’t genuinely ours, it has sparked tremendous conflict in how we relate to those around us. Spiritually, it compels us—without ceremony or hesitation—to drop lingering niceties and insufferable people-pleasing pretences, face our own needs, and stand tall in our individual power. Hence, this series has evolved into a grand, unreserved campaign of “fuck you” activism: renewed and uncompromising acts of defiance, asserting our distinct identity with visceral determination, propelled by primal instinct and a furious urge to blaze our own path.

More than anything, it’s exposed whatever was fake or inauthentic, leaving it dangling by a thread for all to see, ready to be torn apart. Even though the Node has slipped back into Pisces, this final Aries eclipse still packs a punch. Think of it as the exclamation mark capping two years of brash, unfiltered initiatives. If you’ve experienced fiery, radical reboots or near-disastrous upheavals during this period, this cosmic crescendo might be the deciding moment that sets it all ablaze—or blasts it off the table altogether.

The Fire Rises: Aries’ Last Stand Is Like a Bull At a Gate

In many ways, Aries is the simplest, rawest sign: do or die. No frills, no dithering about. Bear in mind that this is not your garden-variety, easy-to-steer New Moon in Aries. It’s an eclipse—a cosmic reset switch, flicked into gear with fervent force. Think back to the Virgo Lunar Eclipse that tore the rug of old routines from beneath your feet. That sudden cosmic meltdown introduced a sense of futility into our mundane tasks and processes: Those once-sacred routines felt pointless—the illusions of “expert management” failed to deliver confidence, any scrutiny on ‘efficiency and waste’ only caused concern and consternation, and a wave of cynicism and pessimistic despair seized control. Now, just as the dust begins to settle, Aries storms the stage.

This final Aries eclipse acts as a retrospective on the entire cycle since 2023. Each Aries lunation involving the Nodes has hurled curveball after curveball, each demanding a whole new brand of personal autonomy. Perhaps you launched a project or radically switched life paths, only to watch the excitement fade into exhaustion. Or maybe you rebelled against a long-standing system—be it in your career, a family dynamic, or your core beliefs—and realised that toppling the old order was merely the first salvo. This partial eclipse marks the last big wave of that surge. You’ll likely feel an urgent need to move quickly and break things, possibly rashly, especially after the Virgo lunar eclipse slump. Yet caution is warranted: Aries has a tendency to rush headlong into annoyances, recklessly smashing obstacles in one blow without taking into account the aftermath.

Aggravating the situation is classic irritant and intermittent jack-in -the-box, Uranus, who, in Taurus, has been rattling our physical world for some years now. A tight semi-square to the Aries eclipse adds trial-and-error gusto—an eagerness to charge bullishly into fresh pursuits, heedless of potential backlash. Adding to this, there’s a gnawing sense of uncertainty about what we truly want, if other than to be disruptive, or how we’d handle the new liberties and freedoms we’re itching to secure.

Brashness vs. Burnout

We’re still tender, fresh from a psychological free-fall, courtesy of that blood-eclipsed Virgo Moon. Many of us are battle-worn, teetering between anxious exhaustion and an irrational craving for something—anything—new. Days after the Equinox, Aries sees an opening and leaps, not always caring whether we’ve properly assessed the risk. If you’re feeling compelled to tear down a job, a relationship, or an entire life plan, check whether this impetus is genuine passion or a knee-jerk flight from the lunar meltdown’s aftermath. Aries thrives on boldness, but ill-considered moves might simply replicate the old chaos in a flashier, more explosive form.

Cluster around the Aries Point: The World Axis Stirs

As if that weren’t enough impetus, multiple planets are huddled around the 00º Aries World Axis, making this a truly global affair. Anything that contacts the Axis resonates far beyond personal matters, shaping collective events, public debates, and even international stand-offs. Since timelines shift across different regions, the degree of rising varies for each country, influencing distinct mundane areas around the globe. Notably, the Sun and Mercury both cross this threshold simultaneously. Ordinarily, that might herald fresh perspectives, loud announcements, or pioneering breakthroughs—yet Mercury is retrograde, so instead of simply forging ahead with a plan of attack, the signal becomes scrambled, dredging up unexpected arguments, disrupting contracts, and dredging out unspoken truths, dragging them squarely into the Aries spotlight.

Meanwhile, Venus has retreated into Pisces, carrying her own baggage of unfulfilled cravings, illusory love entanglements, and lingering heartbreak. This retrograde pairing upends Aries’ usual directness by imposing a mandatory double-take. The big Aries push is still there, but the cosmos warns: “You’re not done with the past—lots of mess to clean up”. Perhaps an ex resurfaces to muddy the waters, or you revisit an abandoned creative passion, wondering if it’s too late. Aries demands immediate action, yet Mercury and Venus in retrograde motion insist: “Slow down, re-evaluate, evade or avoid entirely.” It’s a tricky contradiction, especially if your soul is still raw from Virgo’s meltdown.

Unfinished Business in the Mid-Eclipse Slump

During the lull between these two eclipses, a flurry of aspects—Sun–Neptune and Venus–Neptune conjunctions, the Mercury–Pluto square, and more—has only thickened the already complex cosmic soup. These transits expose illusions, bring to light cracks in our soul’s pavement, and press us to confront emotional blind spots. All the while, Aries’ unstoppable thrust remains temporarily mired in a haze of Piscean fog and retrograde introspection. All of this will eventually shuffle into Aries again, but for the moment, the result could leave us swinging from side to side, on one hand wanting to revolutionise our lives overnight, yet on the other, feeling completely unsure if we’re even qualified to do so. Emotional whiplash is common here—welcome to the mid-eclipse slump, where impatience gets entangled with confusion.

Mars in Cancer & the Ancestral Wounds: Chiron/Eris in Aries

Speaking of side-crawling, Mars, ruling planet of Aries, is currently still holed up in Cancer, and though now direct, fresh after his own retrograde, slowly squares Chiron and Eris—both also in Aries. If you’ve been sensing deep triggers around safety, identity, or age-old emotional fractures, that’s your signal. This alignment supercharges the Aries Eclipse by stirring primal survival instincts. The situation is best described as ancestral trauma meeting a modern-day crisis, all at once. Out-of-bounds Mars roams into taboo territory, triggering sores, unearthing unsettled memories or patterns of generational grievances. Old family conflicts, unspoken resentments, or personal vulnerabilities could flare up unexpectedly.

Remember the meltdown vibe from Virgo? The sense that we’ve run out of workable solutions? That feeling of exasperation, like we want to flush the baby down the sinkhole with the dirty water? Now add a more personal dimension, like a string of restless nights and a bunch of frayed nerves around a lack of belonging, intimacy, or feeling emotionally safe. For some, these squares manifest as explosive confrontations; for others, it’s the internal realisation that deep wounds have shaped how they approach conflict, ambition, or desire. Past pain and resentment of feeling left out can boil over under Aries’ intense heat, leaving you either in combat mode or retreating into your shell. Neither approach fully resolves the underlying trauma. It’s complicated, and needs healing. Sometimes, Aries wants you to fight for that healing, yet Cancer’s fear reflex may freeze you in place. Grievances emerging now are immense and far-reaching, and this moment prepares us for a whole year of examining the hapless misdeeds of our ancestors as Chiron and Eris combine to open up the way towards a whole new chapter for humanity.

Breaking Through the Trauma: Mars, Saturn & Uranus

And yet, not everything is merely a spiral of anguish and uncertainty. In the days following the Eclipse, Mars steps into a key engagement with both Saturn and Uranus, offering the glimmer of a stable bridge across this tumult. Both aspects—Mars trine Saturn and Mars sextile Uranus—interlock like tectonic gears clicking into place, reminding us that calamity and furore can spawn constructive adaptation when discipline and creativity collide. Saturn in Pisces acts like a gentle but firm architect for kindness and forgiveness, dissolving rigid mental boundaries just enough for genuine emotional exploration, yet still imparting the necessary structure to translate raw insight into actionable steps. Think of it as erecting a scaffold around the rubble so you can begin clearing debris without the entire edifice crashing down again.

Meanwhile, Mars’ sextile to Uranus injects a jolt of pure inventive electricity. Typically, Uranus stirs mania and haphazard insurgency, but joined to Mars through Saturn’s stabilising filter, it can surge new solutions directly into the places you feel stuck. Strangely, these are not airy-fairy “light-bulb moments,” but genuine flashes of clarity that can be integrated into your day-to-day. It’s the difference between ranting about your problems and actually doing something to change them.

Keep in mind, though: that cosmic midpoint—♅-♂/♄—also warns of sudden jolts, abrupt separations, or crises of nerve. These alignments demand you hold your ground under pressure rather than collapsing or lashing out. If ancestral scars and personal resentments have bubbled to the surface (courtesy of Mars–Chiron/Eris), this synergy can help you sculpt those pains into bricks for a more honest foundation. Instead of endless meltdown or runaway aggression, you harness Aries’ courage to face the tough stuff, using Saturn’s patience and Uranus’ brilliance to reshape your path. The world may still quake under your feet, but at least now you’re learning how to navigate the fault lines with both skill and heart.

The Battle for Authenticity

Much as the Virgo Lunar Eclipse forced us to let go of our cherished illusions about control or having things exactly how we want them, this Aries Solar Eclipse demands that we wield the sword of authenticity with unapologetic resolve. If you’ve been stuck in a loop of codependence—particularly one woven by ancestral trauma or societal conditioning—this fiery lunation extends a lifeline, a chance to stand tall in your individual power. Of course, an Aries Solar eclipse is not some dainty invitation; Aries compels us to “show up or shut up,” propelling us into situations that require raw honesty and decisive independence, sometimes violently. This might be that climactic moment where you finally begin carving out the life you truly desire—provided you’re prepared for the wild discomfort that blazes the trail of radical renewal. Life on the frontier can be rough sometimes. It has a way of kicking your arse into the next chapter.

Should you try to weasel out, hinge yourself on someone else, or cling to a cockamamie cause for safety, the eclipse won’t mince words: “Enough excuses—take charge or keep languishing in misery.” Of course, blazing such a trail demands personal accountability and raises the real threat of failure. Weaklings would shit themselves, although Aries spares no sympathy or mercy upon the timid and the lazy. It forces us to acknowledge the risk and leap anyway, to see that in each leap the potential for freedom and genuine selfhood is within our reach.

Fortune favours the bold”, they say. That’s the spirit of Aries’ trademark gift—and its perpetual gamble.

As the eclipse approaches and then passes, remember to pause, honour your body’s needs. Recognise that we’re crossing a temporary valley that needn’t become a permanent pit. Avoid pointing fingers or casting blame; keep moving forward however you can. Try to help other trailblazers, but keep moving. Eclipses are transient, but the perspective they leave behind can radically alter the trajectory of your life. This Aries Solar Eclipse on the horizon is no gentle reboot; it’s a head-on collision with your own untapped ferocity. Listen to your deeper restlessness and let it guide you. Once the Aries spark ignites, you’ll see with searing clarity what truly deserves your fire—and what’s been siphoning your energy all along.
