Potent dreams, fancy promises and the highest of virtues are frustrated with challenges in actual execution. Yes, we may well aspire to paint the ultimate masterpiece; create a universe where love & happiness abound; build a better, more ideal world by preaching, teaching and beseeching the high moral ground, like in the fabled Land of Kumbaya…
The problem with the righteous JUPITER’S square to nifty NEPTUNE is that, quite often, our big talk just amounts to a lot of hot air. Without the discipline and constancy to follow through, our dreams are nothing nut just big, fluffy thought clouds; our high-brow witticisms, wisdoms and most noble virtues resemble something drawn out of a Disney fairytale – magical, mythical wonderworlds where everything is beautiful, and we may all aspire to live happily ever after.
Such is clash between the hype of Jupiter, and the highly idealised fantasies of Neptune, where we create a world where we invest much more than we can actually afford to maintain (See Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette).
Yet, the minute some prick, like MARS in Virgo comes along, starts poking holes at our pretentious theories and exorbitantly implausible yarns, the whole thing starts to unravel. Jupiter/Neptune squares suffer from real-world criticism and is soon revealed to have flaws. Faulty logic, loose reasoning and eroded foundations, expose a situation whose ideas lack any real substance and any ability to deliver.
Whilst probable, true happiness is rarely possible because whenever Neptune squares any object it diminishes its potential to let it be what it purports to be.
Hence, Jupiter’s efforts to live up to its highest potential are made almost impossible to live up to, since the moral and ethical standards it imposes are beyond this worldly plane. Beware of hypocrites and scoundrels masquerading as gurus, sages and messiahs. Be mindful of your own potential to outstretch beyond your own humanly limits. Without the discipline and effort to live up to our ideals, we becomes vulnerably exposed to ultimate deflation, disappointment, ridicule and humiliation.
