There may be some tough choices to be made regarding the demands of duty, responsibility and achievement versus the desire to enjoy the moment, engage in social interactions and just pure self-indulgences.
Most probably there’s going to be some stern words exchanged over how easy or slack someone is taking things, perhaps feeling another to be cold and demanding.
While part of you can relate to the importance of indulging in the friends and all the frivolous fun, another part (that internalisation of the demanding parent) knows that discipline and hard work are necessary to get things done, and permits none of that frivolity.
This conflict may create some mid-week tension, but we know it’s coming, and perhaps with a little attention you can learn to balance the two, denying neither completely.
