COSMIC BUS: His Majesty, the Humbled (the first total eclipse in Leo)

Astrologers get giddy and grand about eclipses. We spell them out in BIG BOLD LETTERS. Forgive us, for the trade does have to eat, sometimes. What I can tell you after observing a great many of them go by is somewhat duller and markedly worse: an eclipse rarely smashes a life, although it can at times signify that. More often it drains the compulsion out of something you have been feeding for years, leaving you afterwards holding an object that you know has long stopped meaning anything much to you. We are strange creatures in how we, on occasion, continue to sail into our own self-destruction. We deny the forces of change, evolution, the need to step up and rise above the old, outworn ways.

The more time passes, the more celestial light passes through, illuminating our way, enlightening our understanding of our spiritual purpose here. That is a strange, hollow sensation for any sign built to blaze hard and shine brightly. After a disappointing, most deflating spell which, since the February/March Eclipses, has left us with considerably less to bargain with, having our light tarnished or obscured, our ego humbled by a LEO SOLAR ECLIPSE has got to amount to the final insult.

Remember, an eclipse does not create our story. It unceremoniously extracts whatever was preventing the story from advancing.

So what has to go this time? What leaves the terrestrial plane? Only you can guess. An audience, possibly. A prized role. An esteemed title. A prestigious platform you've managed to prop up for two seasons longer than anybody sensible because you were frightened to give it a rest in case the silence turned out to be permanent. Or is it a person, a special relationship, which would be worse but entirely possible?

In this episode, Ang explores the power of this eclipse, as well as the grand, once-in-an-epoch formations that stand in the backdrop. These are phenomenal times, but they are not without their most humbling impact upon our flimsy, fragile, performative little egos. Watch:
