‘What Does Not Kill Me’ – Musings on Pluto at the end of Capricorn and the MARS/CHIRON conjunction [Cosmic Bus #2224]

The German philosopher Nietzsche once wrote, "what does not kill me makes me stronger" [Twilight of the Idols, 1888].

While the aphorism generally implies that enduring some degree of pain or adversity is an opportunity to build strength to beat the inevitable, it doesn't say much for those who have returned from a nasty combat tour in a warzone or who have worked within the social welfare sector for many years, or those who have survived an abusive relationship, an acrimonious divorce or heartbreak. In many cases, what doesn't kill us often leaves us maimed, damaged and suffering from PTSD.

Sometimes we don't get stronger by being hurt— physically or psychologically. Ang looks at some astrological significators behind surviving trauma and pain in this episode. What are the consequences and dividends of our suffering, and how are the Pluto and Mars cycles to Chiron relevant to our healing journey?
