This episode is a kind of emergence into a long-dreamed-of afterlife. Neptune officially crosses 0° Aries tonight, the first time since February 1862. Fifteen years of Neptune in Pisces has trained the culture to drift, aestheticise, spiritualise, avoid, evade, deny, decry, and project curated identity into screens, tribes, substances, customised mythologies, and endless “takes”, and now the air changes, because Aries is where the dream ceases being enchanting and spits us out to play first-person shooter mode. In this episode, I spell out what that means, in plain terms, without the incense.
Over the next few weeks, the cosmic vice tightens: Uranus stations direct on 4 February, Saturn enters Aries on 14 February, the Aquarius Solar Eclipse hits the anaretic degree on 17 February, and Saturn conjuncts Neptune on 20 February, which means the chickens come home to roost. But first, the Sunday's Leo Full Moon throws a spotlight on how well sovereignty holds up versus the new, somewhat subversive herd mind. This is a stuffy corridor where bluffing gets costly. You will be called out. The glaze has been thick for way too long. It’s cracking. People are about to call it, and ffs it could feel like an ice-cold bucket over your humongous pride.
With Pluto at the gate, Aquarius season feels like passing through a pressure chamber, and with all personal planets past it, the hive starts buzzing like a single organism, getting hungry and ready to sting. There's a lot happening back and forth from Leo, exposure, confrontations over who gets more attention, identity audits, loyalty tests, and that growing appetite for watching things go seriously wrong, until people can’t feel what they’re watching. The question is simple and unpleasant: when the filters fade, who are you, and what can you stand behind without leaning on the crowd as cover?
