Sun, Mars and Mercury stacked in Capricorn like a self-important hit squad, this Capricorn New Moon lands as a cold steel reset, the kind that makes you concede you’ve been living on notions of borrowed identity, wannabe status, pretend levels of safety, and trying to pass it off as a life. It feels cruel until you clock Jupiter in Cancer opposing the whole operation and dragging the controversy back to the only place that matters: the gut feels: loyalty, belonging, what remains when the whole damned faċade falls apart.

This is a deeply conflicting moment. It has that end-times flavour, not because the world is literally ending, but because a whole era of pretending it mattered is. Pluto’s long Capricorn haul trained us to worship the curated self, the respectable profile, the bullshit role you’ve been taught to be proud of, the “successful” version you want others to recognise on sight. In 2026, it’s starting to wear thin and embarrassingly cringey under hard light. You can feel it: institutions creak, the pecking order goes feral, everyone’s angry, everyone’s fake posing to a fake audience, everyone’s exhausted. Saturn closing on Neptune is the bubble losing pressure, the fantasy bleeding out, and the Aries point sitting just there, like a match about to spark up in a petrol station.

So the question becomes brutally simple: when the world stops being even slightly impressed by the performance, who are you then? What do you build, what do you commit to, what’s solid enough to carry you when the old story collapses?
