Strap in tight, tulips. We've long said that this little passage is going to feel shockingly brazen and unkind. When truth itself falls apart—when no one agrees what's real anymore—just being honest feels awkward, even fake. We're all desperate to be "authentic," but in a world full of lies, our sincerity comes off as forced and cringey. It's as if there's nowhere left to hide: everything is exposed under this brutal spotlight, making our little insecurities look like bad acting. The more we try to keep it real, the faker we feel—because honesty itself feels out of place in a world built on bullshit.
This Leo season kicks off in 48 hours, and the ring of fire it builds leading up to the September eclipses is hotter than the Sun. The New Moon at 2° Leo on 24 July snaps the grid: Our regal aims to express ourselves authentically become fused to lunar memory while retrograde Pluto in Aquarius drags skeletons up for viewing—as if holding us to ransom by threatening to expose our past indiscretions. Saturn/Neptune test what passes as factual, Uranus flashes jailbreak codes and rude betrayals—do we let them control us, or do we beat them to the punch and come clean?
In this episode, we see why this is such an exhilarating time. Let’s take a step back and take a look at the skies from our privileged, cosmic bus vantage point.
