With the Sun leaving Taurus, I’m scanning the skies for something—anything—to soften the heart-shattering intensity of the past few weeks. It’s been rough, but in amongst the pall, there’s a small reprieve: Venus in Aries trine Mars in Leo, a soft transit, exact Thursday but active all week. Also, the Sun is soft to Saturn/Neptune.
OK, it’s not exactly life-changing—too much of the myth has unravelled to stuff the magic back in the bottle. It’s impossible to believe, to have faith in anything much at all, actually. From where we’re standing, it’s probably best not to get downhearted, focus on our own thing—the one thing that genuinely lifts us, or at least won’t bring us down—and not demand much else. We do care about others, of course, but our energy is shot. There’s too little left in the tank to go around squandering our precious attention.
The coming weeks look strange, packed with titanic reality shifts, so maybe the wisest move is focusing on self-love—nothing selfish—just enough to keep ourselves sane and standing on two feet.
Remember the impact of these last 3-4 weeks. There may be some backtracking here at some point. Yeah, it’s over, but we will need to reflect on how the illusion fell apart, and own our part in its ultimate demise…
