Under this Moon phase, we may see where our high-minded theories crumble in the face of everyday necessities.
Taurus demands substance, especially with the Sun now in this earthy sign. Or patience for empty talk or airy-fairy concepts has run thin; we want to see the goods. We also can’t ignore the grim economic realities biting at our ankles. Mars can get downright combative when its sense of dignity is threatened. This sets up a dramatically fixed T-square involving the Taurus Sun across the Mars in Leo-Pluto in Aquarius opposition, with the tension peaking over the release point at 0º–4º Scorpio. On one side, the immovable Taurus Sun demands practical security. On the other hand, the proudly indignant Leo Mars refuses to be outranked or outplayed, itching to prove its worth and protect its honour at all costs. And looming in Aquarius, Pluto exerts a group-minded compulsion, seeking to level out pompous displays or unflinching power dynamics under some banner of progress or “wokeness”, be it espousing ideologies on either extreme.

Aquarius Pluto insists on the “collective good”, or at least the appearance of it, but can become tyrannically oppressive in its own coolly superior ideological way. Fixed signs do not bend, they crack, so the key is not to let the fight for outright autonomy and utter respect devolve into a scorched-earth scenario.
