It’s frightful, what’s happening. Not just over there; everywhere. As astrology students, we must try to not take it literally or personally. We must look at the symbolism behind events to grasp what’s real. This is about decoding a core reality that transcends our beliefs and preferred ideologies. This is about justice—a justice that transcends social and biblical justice. It’s our adherence to ‘sacred’ belief systems has divided us to such extremes that we are now hating one another, and the next level of this division is the infliction of pain and injury.

As America spirals into the last throes of its final election, the air is thick with tension. The current incumbent, visibly senile and in rapid cognitive decline, clings desperately to power, unwilling to step aside. Opposing him is a most unorthodox candidate, a former president besieged by the establishment yet fervently supported by his base on the promise that he will turn things over. All around, a plethora of would-be candidates, some remarkably capable, are being denied a voice. In an already volatile atmosphere, we now witness the first assassination attempt. People are being murdered for their beliefs. But this is not the way to justice.

The symbolism is clear. The second Capricorn Full Moon (Jul 21) demands some stark objectivity. Pluto retrograding in Aquarius, soon to reenter Capricorn, signifies the end of old power structures. These institutions are desperately clinging to control as the ground shifts. The collapse is imminent but gradual as people are afraid to jump off a sinking ship.

We must transcend the chaos, acknowledging that true justice requires dismantling institutional divisions. We do this reluctantly, fighting and clawing at one another over old ideologies, trying to hurt and wound.

True clarity demands a return to our core humanity, honouring our differences without weaponising them. We’ll get there, but we need to let go of the old divisive paradigm, which isn’t easy since we all have so much invested in it. Only then can we begin to swim our way through these troubled waters towards a more equitable and just reality.

The revolution for unity has begun, and while more squabbling and bloodshed is likely, we must view these horrible events as cosmic prompts, nudging us to shed our delusions and rebuild from the ashes of discord, forging a path to true, lasting justice.
