Very few of us, perhaps one person in every 20, has a tendency to think and act for themselves. The rest are pretty much good little automatons, subordinates of the hive mind, conforming to prevailing social norms and influenced by the collective behaviours and opinions of the majority. It is our need for acceptance, fear of social rejection, and our innate human tendency to seek validation from each other that keeps us in line, making us liable to suppress our independent thoughts and conform to the beliefs and actions deemed acceptable by the tribe. It’s our monkey mind- a classic relic of a million-year-long game of “monkey-see-monkey-do” that instinctively rejects innovation and resists progress.
Even when we instinctively sense that something is not right with the prevailing narrative, we often find it difficult to break free from the clutches of conformity. It’s always safer standing with the pack. The fear of standing out, facing criticism, or being ostracised from the tribe can be paralysing, and we are more prone to suppress our inner doubts and go along with any crowd madness, even if inwardly, we feel uneasy or just know that something’s wrong.
Those individuals who dare to buck the system, who go against the status quo, question the narrative, criticise leading authorities – those who dare speak out on behalf of the suppressed inner voice of the herd are the purveyors of change and progress, the catalysts for social and intellectual evolution. They are the ones who recognise that by conforming blindly, all of humanity risks giving rise to mass psychosis and widespread social larceny and mayhem. We must find out who they are, sideline them, ridicule and shame them, shut them up and invalidate their whole public persona, perhaps even lock them up or snuff them out entirely. They cannot be allowed to roam freely among us.

ruler of Capricorn, still currently jacked by Pluto…
15 years, and counting…
Between this Full Moon and the Cancer New Moon that opposes Pluto, now at the end of Capricorn, we will feel and experience perhaps the greatest pressure yet. Pluto squares the Nodes, will do so for months, and we cannot know what possesses us unless we take a long hard look at just how prone we’ve been to madness all this time…
