MERCURY in VIRGO can make us self-critical but sensitive and alert to every little detail going on around us too. Being overly critical destroys self-confidence, and if we pick at things too hard, demanding concrete results, we become too sceptical even when the evidence is clearly laid out before us. This generates an atmosphere of mental paralysis we might wish to avoid.

This weekend, Mercury squaring the NODES creates situations where nothing anyone says is good enough. We may get into arguments, blame and condemnation because we speak out at the wrong time or place. Here, we may fall out entirely with society’s prevailing ideas, become suspicious, outspoken, and even mentally tyrannical.

Watch your nerves. If you feel the compulsion to grumble over minuscule details or fudge the facts and exaggerate the gaps, then your sense of judgement could be out. In any case, refrain from dishing out ‘advice’.
