THE SPIRIT OF HUMILITY

Humility is not subservience. It is not a willingness to obey. It is an openness to learning, self-understanding and to change.

Humility can only happen when you and I reach the highest self-respect, that respect which comes with true self-knowledge and acceptance.

Self-knowledge reminds us that we are part of the whole, a spoke in a wheel.

We cannot be everything, nor are we just nothing. We are most distinctly something… a someone. Only in our humility can we create a self-understanding that keeps us in balance. If we are not attached to our ‘good aspects’ or ‘weakening ones, we can deal with both.

When we express ourselves with love (from our Solar/Heart centre), we cultivate our most positive qualities and these increase when we find ways to serve others. Through our attention and honesty in expressing what makes us shine, our weaknesses diminish.

The spirit of humility is our greatest strength. It prevents our Solar power from falling into the abyss of arrogance and self-complacency. Humility helps to alert us to the range of available experiences, which may range from being deceived, deluded or falling into despair or catastrophe, to the possibility of creating the most remarkable miracles.
