It’s not surprising that you may burn yourself out, or overstep your limits of coolness and sophistication, and in sudden fits of anger or rage to preserve your own ‘values’, leave yourself feeling drained, both emotionally and financially. All this is neither good for business nor personal pleasure. Over the next few years, you will find alternative ways to work on yourself and deeply-seated psycho-sexual issues, learn to develop greater self-discipline, control and “toughness”, and put that newfound “killer-instinct’ to better use in getting what you want without destroying all the paths you travel along. The real problem lies in how to balance your desire to fulfil your passions and still be able to support yourself, doing what you love. You will have to work hard to manage any compulsions or addictions, understand what is driving these and if there are any disorders, see if you can get to the roots of the matter. You have enormous opportunities and the potential to channel vast energies and life forces, to open doors to other worlds. Situations right now will challenge you to go deeper. Also note that while your sexual desires may be strong, if you treat every instance of intimacy as a sacred rite of passage, you may capable of transcending your experience with others in ways you could not even imagine. Yet there is a fear – a guilt or shame about developing true, deep intimacy with someone. In one sense, you need to understand that you must learn to open yourself up and make it easier for those who are in need of your unique specialness, be it your engaging company or your exceptional skills or resources. Allow them to gain access to you, otherwise, you’re actually making it harder for yourself. This doesn’t mean you have to put yourself out there for nothing or to just anyone – only getting paid should not be the only impetus for you to do some of the amazing things that you (and only you) can actually offer. At this point in your life, it might feel as though it’s challenging to create a healthy balance in the give-and-take equation of intimate relationships. Social restrictions may be one thing, but it may, of course, also appear like you’re making too many sacrifices yet getting too little in return, especially if you’re desperate to feel satisfied. You may tend to go either too hard or not enough, where neither seems welcome or appropriate. Learning to moderate your sense of assertiveness – your boldness – will eventually help you to achieve the right combination. It isn’t easy for you to completely let go of any expectations of others, mainly because you are impatient, at times desperate to have your needs met. It’s important to understand that your continued development means having to develop trust that others will be there for you, just as you are for them. Subtlety, timing, easiness and tact are necessary, and you might have to learn about these the hard way if all of this sounds foreign to you. Relax. Take it slow and learn to work with what you have. Take small risks, in minor increments. The adage of “nothing ventured, nothing gained” is going to have to be your mantra at this critically decisive point in your life. Even in any apparent ‘losses’, consider all the valuable lessons you may have gained. Don’t let your hang-ups over making money stop you from doing the noblest and giving thing you can do. Also, be careful about squandering away the earnest growth and support you have already garnered from those around you. You will soon discover that this is the biggest problem with today’s society – why people are so mean and measured with expressing their generosity. The poor-minded soul obsesses over the true value of money and will not dare waste it, but an abundant-minded soul is extravagant and looking for an opportunity to share of themselves. Expect only to feel the satisfaction of what you have contributed, and the enormous spiritual reward that comes from this. It is time to heal the wound or break the spell of living frugally and acting in a cheap manner. Moderate your expectations and show greater respect for others and you will quickly discover that you are no longer living a socially superfluous life.
