THE WEEK AHEAD: Sep 16-22

If last week’s Mars/Jupiter/Neptune lunation kicked us in the energetic guts, this week’s stationing Saturn at 13°♑55′, will just attempt to bring us all back down to earth, some of us possibly upon our bended knees.
No cause for despair though, friends, for I’m sure you would agree that sometimes what we all need is a good, sound kick in the pants.
This is what we deserve from the cosmic forces when, under this year’s Jupiter/Neptune squares, we become so enamored with the heady, romantically inflated notions of an imagined liberty, one that tries to function without any sacred law or paradigm or rule of obligation.

Let’s face it – if we must be held accountable for anything, then a firm, but caring rebuke from old-man Saturn is preferable to his full-scale censure.

So treat Saturn’s stationing as a mildly-sustained friendly ‘warning’ to come gently off the clouds and start dealing with life’s responsibilities again. If things seem too harsh and insulting, you’re probably taking it all too personally (see your chart for aspects to personals at 13°55′ of cardinal signs). Reacting with ignorance or indignation will only make matters worse. Nobody escapes Saturn’s arbitrary judgement. Besides, a little admonition now and then merely corrects those who are falling out of line.

Of course, those who choose to take Saturn’s corrective actions with resentment or reproach become convicted and chastised in ways that, well… don’t end up so good.

Whether we want to admit it or not, this year’s Neptunianisms, especially upon planets like Jupiter, have dissolved and defrayed much of our sense of purpose and meaning in this world. King Jupiter is there to apply a little law or ‘high moral ground’ into our lives – something to help us grow and integrate what we are experiencing with a sense of faith and trust and enthusiasm that we are in the “right” place doing the “right thing”.

During 2019, Jupiter’s 3 squares to Neptune (13 Jan/ 18 Jun/ 21 Sep) have peaked our pursuit for happiness and truth into alternative dimensions; where the “right place” is anywhere we damned-well please; where limitations or curfews to what we want to learn, study, believe and preach are fully wavered; and where no harsh consequences to practicing our faith ever apply, regardless to whether it’s scientifically correct on planet earth or it is not.

The Neptunian effect is one of wholly allowance to all things. We are allowed to believe that “it’s all good”, implying that, if the universe loves us no matter what, then our own moral responses to this absolute ‘love’ make little or no difference to the universe (since she is going to love us anyway). So hence, it’s been an open season to assert our wildest individual interests, express ourselves however-the-fuck-we-wish, do as we bloody-well please, and above all, let’s not repress any impulses, whims or fancies.

Sound familiar?
Enjoy it while it lasts…

It is on the basis of this hyperinflated, egocentric relativism that much of what’s being extruded into our daily lives, often as absurdly liberal beliefs and practices, starts to polarise individual thoughts and group policies to the extreme extents. Jupiter/Neptune’s exorbitating mindset that “all will be well” has not only fanned the flames which acommodate antisocialism, narcissism, and individualism, but are consistently steering away any conservative elements of society from any attempts to cast their ‘shamings’ and ‘guilt trips.’

Ironically, wherever there’s a lack of timely, caring reminders to our limits, guilt is more likely to grow. We are still living in a physical universe, where if there are never any consequences; no compassionate admonitions, we tend to ignore, or camouflage our guilt and shame in ways that only makes it worse. We end up doing ridiculously stupid things, as if calling for someone to step in and intervene upon our excesses.

Whether individually or as a collective, we know we are complicit in something that needs fixing, at least some serious bringing back into balance.

Problem is, how do you admonish someone who is so far gone from reality, who literally refuses to accept reality’s harsh, arbitrary time/space restrictions? How do you tell them without seeming to reign down on their religiously sensitive, politically self-righteous asses, like the proverbial tonne of bricks? How (and who) do you appoint to point out the error in another’s way? Especially if you yourself are either in cahoots, or are in some way running your own racket…

That’s going to be tough, either way.
What’s that old saying about best not trying to teach a pig to sing? It wastes your time and annoys the pig.

This week’s about-turn from Saturn (stationing direct at 13°♑55′ on Wednesday, Sep 18) is less than 7° or only four months away from the long-awaited partile conjunction to Pluto. Pluto is also currently stationing at 20°♑41′, turning direct on Oct 3.

With Jupiter square Neptune, pigs might fly but, sorry to say, Saturn’s final crucial pass over the Capricorn South Node (Sep 25) won’t be casting any pearls before them. He seems more intent on turning all the swine into bacon. The rest of this month is already shaping up to be as socially cruel a sensation as an adolescent trip through the latter parts of high school. Teasing, exclusion, rumouring, bullying and ganging up are rife at every level in our relationships. Look out for it. Avoid it, where possible.

With Mercury’s square to Saturn from mid-Libra (Saturday), we will see where this falls in our lives, and possibly why, if we dare ask.

♎Actually, we learn much about Libra over the coming weeks, first as the innermost planets pass the equinox point, then later Sun and Mars. We see especially how planets transiting the constellation of the

scales of justice operate to distribute weight (money, privilege, power, hugs, etc) more evenly, constantly measuring up, passing judgement and trying successfully to see that balance is restored.

We see too just how this clashes with Capricorn’s ‘top-heavy’ system of distribution. Here, we may see cardinal ‘wars’ play out, all in the pursuit of ‘peace’ and ‘virtue’ – at least in the corridors of administration.

The good news is that, as the 3D world puts on its ‘peacemaking’ boots and assumes to take sides, those who can rise above and see right through the obvious divisiveness and Machiavellian maneuvering, will right stand out. They are the ones who see that individual rights cannot be sacrificed for the sake of any ‘general good‘, no more can those who still pursue ‘individual gains‘ at the expense of the general good be allowed to go unmeasured and unchecked.

That’s the good news: That Saturn and Jupiter, themsleves heading for their almighty, “great conjunction” at the beginning of Aquarius (Dec 2020) will see that justice has again become the first virtue of our social institutions, just as truth is of our systems of belief. In the meantime, they will force us to see that any theory, however eloquent or economically rational must be rejected or revised if it is untrue. Likewise, our laws and institutions, regardless how efficient and well-organised, must come to be either reformed or abolished if they are in any way unjust. The rising greed of corporations and sheer corruption of politicians – all now participating in highlighting the system’s endemic destruction – are helping us to wake up to the truth.

Those of us who clearly see the injustice are those who will soon choose to undertake the truest fight. They will not remain submissive against the proxies of darkness and destruction, for they are the ones who unilaterally see in everything the highest, most universal sense of purpose and intent.

Blessings, and have an amazing week xx
