THE WEEK AHEAD: Aug 26-Sep 02

In continuation to last week’s article on the ingress of inner planets into sociocomplexic Virgo – a constellation where earthy, practical matters become ever more perplexing and compelling – this week’s ‘schmerge‘ of energies are soon joined by Virgo’s ruling planet Mercury where it all convenes into a tidy little welcome for this Friday’s New Moon. Needless to say, with awakener Uranus also in earthy Taurus, we are about to make a phenomenal leap in understanding how to fix and tend to what really matters…

Inner-stellium lunation

Such an intricately tight-knit stellar phenomenon of inner planets is rare to occur near the lunation. It signifies just how important it is to us that around this New Moon, all the major players in our lives (mama, papa, sister, brother, boyfr’and, girlfr’and your old auntie too align together to make a plan on how to deal with our immediate concerns. We mustn’t take lightly the pressing signs of urgency to stop goofing and seriously get into gear to get our house back into order.

Much integration of complexic, transdisciplinary perspectives are also being pressed upon us by the retrograding ‘outer planets‘, also in aspect – particularly in those abstract areas in which we’re struggling to make sense of how this world actually works for us (technology, mysticism, epigenetics, etc).

As the night skies darken, it’s a good chance to look deep and wide at how diverse ‘cosmic agents’ are powerfully at play, not merely transforming us at the cognitive and cultural levels, but also on the emotional and psychological realms, in their specificity. This is no time to act asleep. With this much Virgo on the eastern horizon, this is the time to admit we are awake (been awake the whole night, anxiously thinking), get out of bed and seriously get to work.

Mutable/earth Virgo, in trine to Uranus in fixed/earth Taurus accelerates a sudden urgency to draw upon a theoretical and methodological body of knowledge and skill from which we can effectively smash through any characteristic bindings of humanistic limitations (namely blind ignorance, compliance and neglect).

Many burning issues now abjectly plague our dear earth. The Saturn/Pluto conjunction in cardinal/earth Capricorn will soon be joined by ambitious, expansionistic Jupiter. The ruthless desire to control and manipulate everything to enhance our social position and improve our status is becoming unspeakably dark, sinister and insane. Yet we cannot stop it because to face is seems to much to bear for any one single being.

Every day, extraordinary phenomena (both inner and outer) is trying to come to light, but we are still tied to a system which seeks to bury and secretly exploit it; use it to control and suppress.

Advances in cybernetics, algorithmic systems theory, advanced generation network theories, traditional ecological approaches, figurational sociology (evolving networks of interdependent humans), computational modelling, artificial intelligence, robotics, cellular automata, etc are so tightly controlled that we can barely imagine how they will contribute to the social complexities already posed upon this earth.

We can either use or abuse these in our management of earth’s natural resources). Thanks to distortions/corruptions in our media, politics, religion, anthropology, ecology, education, and systems biology we may easily destroy this planet without even knowing what we’re doing. Virgo wants to be busy, but often cannot see what it’s doing to the whole forest due to its persistence to focus only on getting the most out of each tree.

If you’re a bit puzzled about what is going on, then you probably share much in common with the average politician, or anyone aspiring to hold office somewhere today.

We forecasted some of the burning issues in last weekend’s article. They subsequently popped up in our newsfeed during the last week. These same themes will plague our consciousness from now on, so forget about going back to sleep on these. When your roof is on fire, it’s probably wise to call the fire brigade and grab a hose.

Put more simply, in the most mundane terms possible: we best start taking our problems more seriously; start doing something about them at the most local level, immediately, or else we’re screwed. (How’s that for ultimatums?). Nature is always here to remind us.

Anyway, Virgo is great at picking up faults and attending to fixing them. However, on the zodiac’s interpersonal scale, the virgin’s shadow traits are wedged between Leo’s pride and Libra’s narcissism, tending more towards a holier-than-thou conceitedness – especially when confronted with criticism about her own shortfalls and misgivings.

Observe the current epidemic going around with everyone (including you) to tend toward bickering and faulting everything and everyone else about what is “wrong with the world”. Now try to balance this with how often you actually hear cats taking action to lift their own game. See too just how incensed those cats become if you should pick them up on their own hypocrisy.

And rightly so. Nobody has the right to make you do anything that doesn’t align with your own inner guidance. Nor do you have any hope of herding cats to play your little game if you are not prepared to show a little empathy and kindness.

I’d say that right about now, people are quietly contemplating taking some ‘responsibility’ for themselves. This means roundly refusing to let others do their thinking, talking, naming and shaming for them; it’s really time to start using our own brains and instincts; hence, grappling with the uncomfortable, nagging little details, tending to the hard work and complexities that cannot be left to others. Some things of our very own must be attended to all on our own.

Again, a reminder to follow our gut and not the “leader”.

Our gut instinct serves to help us to make the best possible decision for ourselves. Forget the guile and self-serving intentions of others. Those politicians, corporations and religious leaders are only trying to sell us some idea that we have freedom of choice. In fact we don’t. That’s only an illusion. When we buy into their system, we are left no choice. We just get owned.

When we buy into the clever, mind-controlling systems of others, we become enslaved and indentured to serve their agenda, their selfish intentions. Those who hold a monopoly on power are intent to own and exploit all the land, control all trade and commerce through the guise of banks and corporations, dictate cruelty and injustice through laws and senates, tell filthy lies through their wholesale controlf of mainstream media. We are not free under such systems.

We are possessed.
We are owned by government, big business, churches, state because we do not have the strength and courage to think for ourselves, let alone act.

When we do not dare stand in our own power; think critically; discern rationally from a well-informed place; act in alignment with our gut instinct, we sell ourselves short.

As Mercury comes out of Leo and joins the bevy of nearby bodies in early Virgo (Thurs), we realise we each have a critical role to play here. So as the Moon becomes darker and darker this week, prepare to make an intention which is absolutely profound and revolutionary.

Join me later this week, leading into Friday’s New Moon, for the second part of our lunation report: “Understanding Virgo”, as well as your full messages for this special lunation.

Blessings, and have an amazing week xx
